How to Make the Most of Your Nutrition

To gain energy, we have to talk about cleaning the digestive system.

Villi along our small intestine are immensely important because they absorb nutrients into the body, but they become damaged, break and clogged with the effects of

  • airborne toxins
  • medications
  • chemicals in our food and water
  • fats, salts, sugar
  • stress

Over years, they gradually lose the ability to regenerate themselves.

Damaged villi make you:

  • tired
  • sick
  • prone to disease
  • quicker aging
  • gain weight because your body thinks its starving and stores calories instead of burning them, plus your cravings for fats and sugars increases

All this because your villi are not working.

If your villi aren’t working, then the cells they feed are gradually dying also.

Think of your small intestine with villi being like the air filter in your car ...

You change the air filter in your car so it will work, but surprise, you can’t replace your villi, you have to clean them out where they are!

Herbs can do that cleaning.  Herbalife adds herbs to all of their products in order to make them more effective.  Results are taken to a new level!  It’s like 2 + 2 = 6 in combination.

I was always the last person to finish a meal at the table, when I found out that chewing your food about fifty times would help you lose weight.  That was back in my overweight university days … but now I know that chewing your food into very small bits (yep, at least thirty times each mouthful) is the first smart step to happy digestion!

When we eat too fast, and only partly chew, we haven’t a hope of digesting and absorbing that nutrition.  So, not only do we eat too much because the brain doesn’t get the signal that we’ve had enough, but the body can’t break down the huge chunks that we deliver.

  • If your food isn’t dissolved into mush, keep chewing.

The second step to good digestion is your enzymes, which require healthy flora.

  • This is killed off in the system the same way that villi are (above).
  • Drinking too much fluid during your meal can reduce the amount of enzymes you have available to break down your food

Whatever health choices you make –

don’t forget about your digestion and those millions of villi:

it’s life-giving!
